The center of it all is the five-way crossroads, where the Milton Historical Society notes several historic buildings still stand. Crabapple Road, Broadwell Road, Mayfield Road and Birmingham Highway meet there. North and east of the crossroads, Crabapple Market describes itself as shops, restaurants and homes connected by walkways and trails, starting from the Crabapple Green. The Green sits across from Milton City Hall.

Pick your day with care
Weekday mornings and mid-afternoons. The City of Milton warns that State Route 372 near Milton High, Northwestern Middle and Crabapple Crossing Elementary backs up on weekday mornings and mid-afternoons, sometimes to the Heritage Walk roundabout. If you are coming in on Birmingham Highway, plan around school traffic.
Crabapple Fest day. On festival day the City closes Crabapple Road through the village, uses the City Hall lot for festival activities and moves parking to free lots on Birmingham Highway with a shuttle. Crabapple Fest 2026 was on October 3; the City says the next one is in October 2027 and has not posted the date. See Crabapple Fest before you come on a first Saturday in October.
Thursday evenings this fall. The City lists Wanderlust Food Truck Fest nights in downtown Crabapple on October 29, November 12, and December 3 and 10, 2026, each from 4 to 8 p.m., with trucks in the Market District Crabapple parking lot and the gravel area behind the Green. Expect more people and fuller lots on those nights.
