Dog-Friendly Crabapple: Parks, Patios and Leash Rules

The short answer

Downtown Crabapple in Milton, Georgia, is easy with a leashed dog: Milton city parks allow pets on a leash at all times, Six Bridges Brewing's Crabapple Taproom lists a dog-friendly patio, and Dog Wash Cafe has a Crabapple location. Dogs are not allowed on athletic fields. Other patios do not publish a dog policy, so ask at the door.

Downtown Crabapple in Milton, Georgia, works for a walk with a leashed dog. The City’s park rules allow pets on a leash, one taproom lists a dog-friendly patio, and the market’s lawn is about 4 minutes on foot from Broadwell Pavilion (measured along OpenStreetMap streets and paths at about 3 mph). Where a business publishes no pet policy, we say so.

The park rules

These are from the City of Milton’s park rules and apply at Broadwell Pavilion, Mayfield Park and every other city park:

  • Pets must be leashed at all times in Milton parks, and owners must clean up after them. Milton Parks & Rec
  • Except for service animals, domestic animals are not allowed on athletic fields in city parks. Milton Parks & Rec
  • Milton city parks are open from sunrise to sunset unless otherwise posted or permitted. Milton Parks & Rec

Crabapple Market is private property, and it publishes no pet policy for The Green or its walkways that we could find. Keep the leash on and clean up there too.

Dog-friendly places

  • Six Bridges Brewing, Crabapple Taproom, 1850 Heritage Walk: its taproom page lists a dog-friendly patio and a courtyard. Tuesday to Sunday; closed Monday.
  • Dog Wash Cafe, 12635 Crabapple Road, Suite 230: a dog wash and grooming shop; its Milton page lists the Crabapple location but no hours we could read, so call (770) 740-1888. About 2 minutes on foot from The Green.
  • Mayfield Park, 1000 Mayfield Road: the City’s older listing describes walking trails, a pier and a pavilion across Mayfield Road from the library; not yet reconfirmed by the City.
  • A short drive: Providence Park and Milton City Park and Preserve have walking trails; the preserve’s first loop is 2.5 miles, per the City of Milton.

We found no other Crabapple restaurant that publishes a dog policy for its patio. Milton’s Cuisine lists a patio, for example, but says nothing about dogs. Ask before you sit down.

Hours are as each business posts them, checked Oct 18, 2026; call ahead.

Events that welcome dogs

  • Crabapple Fest: the City says leashed pets are welcome and asks owners to bring water and clean up after them. The 2026 fest was October 3; the 2027 date is not posted.
  • The Red, White, and YOU parade, Milton’s Independence Day walking parade at Broadwell Pavilion, invited leashed pets to march in 2026 (July 3), per the City of Milton. The 2027 date is not posted.
  • Crabapple Market’s Holiday Market on Friday, November 13, 2026, brings adoptable pets from FurKids to The Green.

Nothing is published for this yet. We add each date when its organizer announces it.

Tips for a dog day

  • Pavement heats up in summer. NOAA’s 1991-2020 normals for Atlanta Peachtree Airport, the nearest station with temperature data, put the July average high at 89.4 degrees F. See visitor info.
  • Bring water. We found no published public dog water station in the village.
  • Busy event days are a lot for some dogs: the City reported about 20,000 people at Crabapple Fest 2026.
  • Parking near the pavilion and the library is on parking; longer walks are on parks and trails.
